Happy Birthday Dad!! even though it is his birthday he made me eggs and he
mak
es the best eggs.
Dad went on his Mission in 1959 to the Gulf State Mission while he was in San Angelo he and his Companion taught George. his wife was inactive and Dad doesn’t remember how they started to teach him but he does know that they became friends. Dad remembers one day going by and George was getting ready to paint his house. My dad and his Companion went home changed clothes and help him paint his house. George said if they helped paint my house the least I can do is listen to them . Then My dad was transferred to New Orleans-- my
dad got a cyst on he tail bone and could not ride his bike so the Pres wrote his dad and told him he thought it would be a good idea if they bought him a car so my Grandpa got the money and sent it to my Dad . When Dad got off his mission at the end off March, and was on his way to see a friend, he was driving through Perry ID and he saw a 57 Chevy turquoise and white. He thought that looks like Gorge and Edith's Car then he saw the license plate-- it was from Texas-- so he started honking and it was them! He spent the night with them. Ever since then they have been good family friends. It was a great day !!
This is my Dad birthday cake there is a Picture because I made it home made German chocolate it was great.
