Happy 70th Brithday Dad

Happy Birthday Dad!! even though it is his birthday he made me eggs and he makes the best eggs.

Dad went on his Mission in 1959 to the Gulf State Mission while he wa
s in San Angelo he and his Companion taught George. his wife was inactive and Dad doesn’t remember how they started to teach him but he does know that they became friends. Dad remembers one day going by and George was getting ready to paint his house. My dad and his Companion went home changed clothes and help him paint his house. George said if they helped paint my house the least I can do is listen to them . Then My dad was transferred to New Orleans-- my dad got a cyst on he tail bone and could not ride his bike so the Pres wrote his dad and told him he thought it would be a good idea if they bought him a car so my Grandpa got the money and sent it to my Dad . When Dad got off his mission at the end off March, and was on his way to see a friend, he was driving through Perry ID and he saw a 57 Chevy turquoise and white. He thought that looks like Gorge and Edith's Car then he saw the license plate-- it was from Texas-- so he started honking and it was them! He spent the night with them. Ever since then they have been good family friends. It was a great day !!

This is my Dad birthday cake there is a Picture because I made it home made German chocolate it was great.

and Then there is Darin on my right side of the air Mattress what fun he brings to the table or should I say bed. first night not bad just rolled of the bed but next night it was a little ruff his feet loved my side By the end of the night I found my way up the stairs to the kids room.were there was no blankets because we took them all down stairs. so I slept under the sheet. And They Played

A cute Picture I love that dog !!

As soon as we got to Garden Valley the fun began Lucy cousin Riley was so excited to see her they Started running around a didn't stop till late that night Lucy other cousins Milly and Chloe were not all that happy to see her

Next stop Garden Valley

We were on the road to Garden Valley by 12:00. Form Christmas eve to Christmas day they had gotten a couple of feet of snow so while the drive up there was beautiful. I was Glad Gary was driving !! It took a little longer to get there but it was way worth it. The last picture is of the bridge over the river to Gary's Mom house now in this picture you will notice a couple of things 1 it is big enough for one car.2 you have to go up hill as soon as you get off the bridge 3 it has been well sanded. Now when I was first introduced to this bridge it was not the case. It felt more like a sledding then driving a car you would have to keep the speed up or you would not make it up the other side, All whith out going in the river below needless to say I would cover my eyes and plug my ears the whole time!! I am greatfull for 4 wheel drive and sand.

Presents

So after waiting for the Kitchen to get all cleaned up it was time for the presents! there was all kinds of excitement. The kids got just what they wanted as you can see by the smiles on their face everything form cloths, cameras,Little pet shops and last but not lest webkinz. know for me I was very spoiled I received two new per of pants a couple of shirts, lotion new head phones,a cartridge razor and yes even a thing of honey and candy as far as Gary I am not sure what made him the happiest but my favorite thing he got was a new pair of Jeans he has not had any for about 6 years and he looks hot. As a couple My brother Kevin and wife Robbin gave us a bunch of food for are food Storage it was so thoughtful and meant a lot to me.

Stockings

The morning started at 8am, with the tap, tap, tapping of the bedroom door.
We rushed up stairs for STOCKINGS. But, we had to wait for Steve, who decided to take a shower. Now, the stockings at my house were "open the stockings, and there are the gifts". But, here, Santa finds it necessary to wrap EVERY SINGLE THING in the stocking. Some of the highlights from the stockings were--

Steve's bullets

Gary's Ferrer Rocher Chocolate

Kayla's new make-up

Lucy's Ball

and last, but not least, Holly's Pure Seduction lotion from Victoria Secret. Boy, does Santa love her!!!

Christmas Pajamas

The next thing on the agenda was the handing out of Christmas pajamas. Now, this, for Gary and I, has not been a tradition. I think the last pair of pajamas I ever got was when I was a young child at home. But, since we were spending Christmas with our friends, much to my surprise, as they opened Christmas pajamas, there was a box for me and Gary. AND I LOVED my hoochy-mama pajama top, that went with my cozy bottoms (notice the nice gray t-shirt UNDER the pajama top.) The funniest thing was that Gary and Steve's pajama bottoms ALMOST matched. I think we all looked great.

The Program

the girls acted out Christmas story and my favorite part was the Sheep (I might be a little biased) the Sienna put a sheep skin on her so cute.

Christmas Dinner

We had a Great Christmas diner Gary smoked a Turkey we had a spinach salad Potatoes, ham several Jello salads rolls and a bunch of sparking ciders all in all great dinner we very much appreciate the whole Family and all they do for us.

White Christmas

It was definitely A white Christmas this year on Christmas Eve we spent the night at the Holly and Steve's house with the family the kids went sledding in the back yard and Lucy loved it. Lucy found a Soccer ball outside and it now has a hole in it he claimed it as hers.
I found it quit funny how holly's neighbors came over in all their snow pants and warm boots while holly's kids had no hats wore pajama bottoms and sneakers.
